One of the oldest and most historic US cities, Boston is known as "America’s Walking City". In its heart, next to 18th-century Faneuil Hall, is Quince Market - a food haven. In the nearby seaport, you can take a whale-watching trip or dine at one of the many restaurants serving a Boston specialty: lobster with melted butter.
The streets south of the peaceful Charles River in Back Bay are lined with Victorian brownstone houses. At the downtown end of one – Beacon Street – is the Cheers bar, modeled on the 80's sitcom. Opposite is Boston Common, a large park with a bronze sculpture celebrating the book "Make Way for Ducklings". The golden dome of the House of Representatives is by the other end.
The oldest part is Charlestown and streets around the Bunker Hill obelisk still feature old-style gas lamps, though now they are electric. Over in Cambridge, Harvard is the USA’s oldest and most prestigious university. The campus is open to the public, as is Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), whose central point is an emblematic, Pantheon-like building.
Sport in Boston is also a big thing, with the Celtics and Red Sox among the city’s big name teams.
The largest New England city, Boston has the perfect size for walking and cycling. Logan International Airport is connected by public transport to Boston hotels, motels, apartments and B&Bs.

Loved the fact the hotel was Central and that Boston is easily walkable. Cobble stones and damaged pavements everywhere in older part, North side much easier to walk around.
Some great shops & restaurants, surpringly, not much veggie unless you count green salad.
Everywhere felt safe and comfy to walk round. A week is just enough time for a visit.
For those GF and Vegan I can't recommend Jennifer Lee enough, amazing sandwiches and cakes. Pho also great for vegan food. If you're a carnivore pretty much anywhere is great for you.
We did the hop on hop off Trolley Bus tour one day which was great, some guides were good, others not so much. Tbe Freedom Trail was really interesting, guide was helpful and gave loads of interesting facts on top of the historical info.

Don't let the stereotypes fool you.
Don't let the stereotypes fool you. The people of Boston, while not talkative like I am coming from the south, were the nicest city of strangers I have met, and you can feel a sense of comradery. Multiple instances I had some of the best of a food I'd ever had. The architecture is beautiful and the city is filled to the brim with history around every corner. Be prepared to walk for a deep appreciation of the architecture - it is sprinkled and spaced out all across the city. But it is worth it.

Boston is a great city, full of alot of History. it is a walkable area. Lots of ways to get around. People are friendly and informative. The places to eat were great. Mike's pastry had the best. The Florentine Cafe was great.
Luccas cafe and bar was great. Beantown pub was fun and had great food
Stayed here for ten days on our first visit to Boston from the UK and all I can say is what a fabulous hotel. Staff were so friendly and looked after us so well. Location was perfect - central to the City and 2 minute walk to Downtown Crossing tube station which linked you to the whole Boston area. Very clean, lots of shampoo, soap, shower gel and snacks. Coffee maker in the room was a nice touch. Easy check in and wer so amenable with a later checkout - even ordered us an UBER after the taxi didn't turn up.
Located in the Financial District of Boston, the Dagny is sandwiched between downtown and Faneuil Hall, and a short walk to the harbor. From the moment we handed our keys to the valet, to check in, until check out, our interaction with the staff was wonderful. The room and the bathroom gave a very luxurious feel, so much so that we didn't want to leave. The bed was super comfortable to get a good night's rest after a week of hiking. Oh, and the hotel smells like a charm. Highly recommended!
Breakfast was the highlight, amazingly comfortable beds, quiet, clean, free shuttle bus service that picks you up and to the airport (and to a metro station upon request, which saved us a lot of time since the hotel is far from the center of Boston), free coffee and tea anytime of the day. We were very satisfied in general. Also we got a room upgrade which was awesome cause initially we booked a room with one double bed and a sofa bed and ended up with two double beds.
This is the third time I have stayed at the Lenox Hotel in the last 10 years when visiting Boston and the primary reason is its location. For me the best part of Boston is the Back Bay Area and no hotel is better place to experience this. A short walk and you can experience dining and shopping of good quality in the nicest part of Boston. The hotel staff are always helpful and there is a feeling that nothing is too much trouble.
The hotel is so clean! Never had such a clean room! Plus the rooms were modern, beds were comfortable, and staff were friendly especially the bellman. Location was good and we walked a lot so downtown can be a bit far to walk to but we much preferred this quieter side of Boston and it’s close distance to Fenway. Rooftop pool is also beautiful. Highly recommend Jaho Artisan coffee about 2 min walk from hotel.
Stylish Boutique hotel, located 15min walking distance to Harvard University and its popular nightlife. To reach Boston city center, either 45min public transport or 20min taxi ride is required. Room was very clean and adequate in size. Wifi very good. The gym is small, equipped with basic stuff, but ok. Breakfast is ok, offered in a nice environment. Friendly, supportive staff.
Conveniently close to the airport and a 20-minute drive to downtown. Nearby Target and dining options like Wendy's. Complimentary breakfast exceeded expectations. While parking costs $15 per night, it's reasonable for Boston. Clean room, comfortable bed, and excellent bathrooms. A stay that surpassed expectations.
It's in a fairly good spot, short distance to public transport and to a nice shopping area with good for value stores.
I liked the easiness and calmness in the hotel and the area around the hotel.
I felt I was visiting the "real" Boston in this location and still just minutes from the buzzing downtown.
The location was great, Boston downtown with close access and a walking distance to city attractions. Overall the hotel was okay, but I would expect more from a Hyatt hotel. The beds and the room were okay, and the room amenities (mini fridge, coffee and coffee maker, ...), and the shower were okay.
The location was fabulous! Easy access to the best of downtown Boston and a quick drive to the airport. Staff was friendly and welcoming, even down to gifting our children candy, crayons and coloring books (with some wine for mom and dad). Clean and modern, we absolutely loved the vibe.
This hotel is a gem. Not quite in Boston downtown so more affordable, but very well positioned to get anywhere since it is two minutes walk from an MBTA red line stop. Additionally, free airport shuttle and breakfast was included too. Great value for a high quality hotel.
Location is good with reasonable travel times to all things "Boston". Hotel, Casino, and all amenities are well thought out, clean, and top quality. The free shuttle to the Orange Line "T" stop is a great service to get in and out of downtown.
Location right on the waterfront and close to Hanover Street was excellent. We could walk to most places in central Boston.
The room was good and very comfortable. We had one meal in the hotel and that was good and well priced for a hotel.
Beautiful hotel. Great facilities. Extremely friendly staff. Great choice of restaurants. Room was magnificent with fabulous view of Boston and the harbour.. Great bus shuttle to downtown and a fabulous ferry ride at weekends.
Hotel is close to transit station and it's convenient to visit downtown Boston.
The fitness center is excellent and fresh fruits and water are provided every day.
Super Location for all tourist attractions bars and restaurants, great little boutique hotel lovely staff,100% staying there next time we arrive into the Boston!!!
This hotel is amazing.... Please stay here if you have any business in South Boston or anywhere downtown. Great staff and amenities. Thanks for a great weekend
The location of the hotel is amazing. It's literarily in the heart of downtown Boston. Walking distance to all major landmarks, shopping, restaurants, etc.
